2013 finalists / Lawrence Lek

Lek makes large-scale sculptures and site-specific installations that explore our relationship to organic form, and express forces of gravity and growth through their composition and structure.  Lek’s installations investigate processes of natural growth, our perception of organic form, and the effects of technology on the fabrication of material.  Born in Frankfurt, Germany he lives and works in London.
