theCOLAB is seeking an experienced freelance Project Manager to oversee all administration of BODY & PLACE; a fully funded life drawing residency run by theCOLAB for 10 x professional artists.

Job Description

Body & Place: A fully funded life drawing residency run by theCOLAB in the grounds of Owlpen Manor for 10 x professional artists led by Tutor Martin Morris. Artists are chosen by a selection panel from an Open Call. theCOLAB seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee all administration of the BODY & PLACE Open Call and Residency, including minute taking at meetings, publicising open call and residency on all digital platforms throughout the project timeline including social media posts, newsletters, website updates etc, preparing applications for review by selection panel, liaising with selected artists (x10), liaising with residency host (Owlpen Manor) with regards to food/accommodation/travel etc; ordering supplies to Owlpen including some food and art materials; contracting photographer; posting updates to Instagram; filing and reporting after the residency; tracking budget expenditure.

Key Dates:

5th Nov - Meeting with selection panel in Somerset House.
3rd Dec - Open Call launched
4th Feb - Open Call closed
4th March - Selection Panel decision Somerset House
11th March - artists informed of decision
9 - 13th June - Residency (PM attendance not required)
End of June - Reporting

Working hours and fee:

The administration of this project should take no more than 10 days (@£200 per 8hour day/£25 per hour across 80 hours), from Nov 2024 to end of June 2025. We support flexible remote working hours, at the candidate's discretion. Candidates do not need to be based in London, attendance at the two meetings referenced in the timeline would be preferable but not essential.
(5th Nov and 4th March.) Presence not required at residency.

£2000.00 flat fee, payable:
£600 on completion of the Open Call 6th Feb
£600 on completion of all liaison with Artists, end of April
£800on completion of Residency, reporting, photo archiving etc, end of June.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in arts related project management and administration is vital, along with aptitude for posting on Instagram, updating a Squarespace website and preparing email newsletters on Brevo (or similar).
