FREE SCULPTURE WORKSHOP
with Florence Peake
Make your own artwork at the Artist’s Garden
Thursday 19 February 2026
Join us for a special 3-hour hands-on workshop with acclaimed artist Florence Peake. You’ll learn how to cast with plaster, explore creative techniques, and make your own sculpture to take home.
Florence—whose work blends sculpture, dance, performance and painting—will introduce her practice and share the inspirations behind her projects. Then it’s your turn: roll up your sleeves and dive into the fun of sculptural making. The session also includes a short creative careers talk from theCOLAB The Artist’s Garden’s Deputy Director, offering tips and insight for anyone dreaming of a future in the arts.
And if you loved the workshop - it gets even better! Participants will have the exclusive chance to put their name forward to assist Florence Peake in creating her first-ever public sculpture for The Artist’s Garden, debuting in May 2026. This is a rare opportunity to gain real hands-on experience working alongside a leading contemporary artist on a major public artwork. Full details will be revealed at the workshop.

About theCOLAB & The Artist’s Garden
theCOLAB is an independent, women-led arts charity dedicated to creating ambitious public art in unexpected places. In 2021 we founded The Artist’s Garden, transforming the neglected rooftop above Temple Tube Station into the world’s first free sculpture garden dedicated to the work of women artists.
Florence Peake is a London-based artist whose work spans performance, sculpture, painting, film and drawing. Since 1995 she has developed a distinctive practice full of movement, physicality and play—bringing materials to life through the body.
